Nature Explorers

Conservancy staff lead nature-focused workshops and educational craft activities for children.

• May 9 – American Eel! Learn about the life cycle and journey of a Hudson River eel.
• June 13 –  Bugs! Explore the different kinds of insects in our Park and why they are important to the ecosystem.
• August 8 – Birds! Learn about bird migration along the Hudson River and make your own bird origami.
• September 12 – Flowers! Explore your Park and get creative by making a take-home flower printing craft.

Summer on the Hudson events are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, unreserved, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is heavy rain at the time of the event, the event will be canceled. For weather updates, check nyc.gov/parks/soh 2 hours before the event.
