TRASH HERO Cleanup of the Bird Sanctuary
As part of Riverside Park Conservancy’s woodland restoration initiative, a tribe of goats spent the summer at Riverside Park’s Bird Sanctuary eating away literal tons of invasive plants and poison ivy. This clearing of weeds uncovered piles of trash that had accumulated over the past decade (and more), hidden from view.
Join TRASH HERO, in partnership with Riverside Park Conservancy, for a cleanup of the Bird Sanctuary!

Dress comfortably and be prepared to get dirty! Best to remove jewelry, wear hair tied back, closed-toe work shoes and long pants required. This location is on a slope and there are areas of poison ivy, so please come prepared. Do not bring additional bags, as there is really no place to store belongings. We will have water onsite and encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle.
Show up on Saturday, October 26th at 10:00 am at 120th Street & Riverside Drive. You will find our tent ahead of you!
