Inspired b y the craft and community of printmaking\, the work incorporates images of six fish etched onto selected plexiglass\, contributed by fellow printmak ers and artists: Laurissa Widrick\, Felix Bladbjerg\, Kait Waldman\, Stan Overstreet\, Barbara Ganmen\, and Scarlett Patino. \nClare Burson\, Uneart hed.\nUNEARTHED is an installation of three steel forms inspired by the an cient Plain of Jars in Laos. It asks us to consider the inevitable and une xpected ways that history imposes itself on the present. When experienced with its accompanying soundscape\, UNEARTHED also reminds us that our shar ed public spaces are nexus points for an infinite number of narratives tha t connect individuals and communities across time\, those who lived here b efore us and those who will come after us. \nAlicia Ehni\, Balancing \nA P eruvian shaman once told Ehni to carry a lemon in her purse\, that it brin gs great harmony in life and in interactions with others. Two fractured pr e-Columbian ceramics carry ancient coastal knowledge\, opening possibiliti es to imagine a different future. Balancing reflects on the fragile relati onships between people\, nature\, and the built environment. \nRobert Fran ca\, The Chairs\nThe Chairs explores family as the foundation through whic h we understand ourselves and the world. Seen through a childs perspective \, the chairs embody imagination\, openness\, and freedom from conventiona l rules. Their human-like forms suggest movement and the ability to change .
