 \n\nArm of the Sea Theatre is an arts ensemble that fuses visual storytell
 ing with live music in large-scale works of mask and puppet theater. Found
 ed in 1982 by Marlena Marallo and Patrick Wadden\, the companys hybrid per
 formance style channels the evocative power of the arts as a force for joy
 \, insight\, and community uplift. Their low-tech devices of theatrical en
 chantment illuminate relations between humans and the life-support network
 s of this blue-ocean planet. \nUnder the direction of Marallo & Wadden\, t
 he creative team includes musicians Maclain Maier\, Joseph Davis and Helen
  Houghton; and performers Joanna Grabiarz\, Doug Keller\, Dee Dee Maucher\
 , Nick Panken\, Rakel Stammer\, Soyal Smalls and MJ Smythe. Arm-of-the-Sea
  tours its original productions to cultural centers\, festivals\, and comm
 unity venues throughout New York and adjacent states. The organization is 
 transforming the ruins of a 19th century papermill In Saugerties\, NY into
  a waterfront cultural park for bio-regional arts & science. \nRecent reco
 gnitions include: 2024 Hudson River Watershed Alliance Wave-Makers Award\,
  2018 Ulster County Executives Arts Award for Arts Organization\, a 2016 E
 nvironmental Champions Award from the US Environmental Protection Agency\,
  the 2014 Excellence in Arts Award from Mill Street Loft\, and the 2014 Di
 stinguished Environmental Achievement Award from Mohonk Consultations. Dir
 ectors Marallo & Wadden were 2013 Artists-in-Residence at SUNY Ulster (Sto
 ne Ridge\, NY)\, and 2014 Artists in-Residence at the Cary Institute for E
 cosystem Studies (Millbrook\, NY). \nSummer on the Hudson events are free

 tic Creativity is a unique class for kids ages 7 ' 10\, taught by Riversid
 es resident outdoor dance company\, Kinesis Project Dance Theatre. Childre
 n (and their adults) learn movement making and bring dance to unusual spac
 es\, guided by professional dancers. Ages 7 ' 10 suggested. \nMay 21 and 2
 8 meets at the 102nd Street Field House. \nJune 2 ' July 9th meets at the
