 ng Competition\, and nods from Billboard\, IMAs\, GASC\, UKSC. Hes shared 
 bills with The National\, Andrew Bird\, Norah Jones\, Soulive\, Beth Orton

 entertains and educates teachers\, students\, their families & communities
  while emphasizing the poise & politeness our program promotes\, true to o
 ur meaningful motto: Making manners matterevery move we make! \nAbout Ball
 room Basix: The BBX syllabus and methodology creatively contribute to the 
 health and wellness of the diverse schoolchildren whom we serve by getting
  classmates hand-in-hand\, arm-in-arm and eye-to-eye. The partner dancing 
 experience is enhanced by the verbal & physical courtesy and consent inher
 ent to partner dancing as students dance ' rotationally & respectfully ' w
 ith one another. \nAbout the teaching artist: Marisa Caputo is a recent gr
 aduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where \, in addition to her bachelo
 rs degree studies\, she was active in NYUs Latin & Ballroom Dance Team. Sh
 e trained in partner dancing for multiple years of through the Fred Astair
 e Dance Studios\, where she has also taught part time. She has been a valu
 ed Teaching Artist with BALLROOM BASIX for almost 4 years ' and is thrille
 d to share her love of Ballroom & Latin dance with children\, young adults
 \, and seniors throughout New York City. \nMarisa continues to train and c
 ompete in all four ballroom styles'Latin\, Rhythm\, Standard\, and Smooth'
 and is passionate about creating a fun\, welcoming environment for dancers
  of all ages and experience levels. She is very excited to be teaching thi
 s summer at Riverside Park!
