 care\, it has been determined that the Lighthouse will again be only be op
 en for a limited number of tours during this years Festival\, led by the N
 YC Park Rangers! As in years past\, tours will be first come\, first serve
 d. To safely and comfortably accommodate visitors\, we have reduced the to
 tal number of visitors we can accommodate. \nTo accomplish this years Litt
 le Red Lighthouse touring in a fair and efficient manner\, timed tickets w
 ill be distributed beginning at noon on Saturday\, October 7. \n\nWe highl
 y recommend that visitors looking to tour the lighthouse earlier in the da
 y arrive before noon.\nTickets will be timed for a 40-minute window.\nTick
 etholders are asked to arrive on time for their scheduled tour.\n\nThis ye
 ar\, we will be offering additional tours of the Little Red Lighthouse out

 findings with a focus on the bat populations in Riverside Parks very own u
 rban forests. Throughout this year they have been monitoring and collectin
 g data throughout Riverside Park and New York City at large. \nJoin us to 
 learn about how bats echolocation can be used to monitor bat populations. 
 Using acoustic bat monitoring devices that pick up high-frequency sounds\,
  bats can be identified based on their species-specific call characteristi
 cs. This information can be used to provide insight into changes in bat po
 pulations over time and help inform conservation efforts. \nLearn how to l
 ocate sleeping bats\, the importance of bats in our environment\, and bat

 unteers are needed to de-Christmas the trees left for recycling. We will b
 e removing ornaments\, lights\, and getting the trees ready to chip. Then\
 , well spread Christmas tree mulch around street trees along Riverside Dri
 ve. Please register on Eventbrite to volunteer and review our health and s

 e (from December 26 ' January 31)\nRecycle your Christmas tree in Riversid
 e Park. Drop your tree at any park entrance and we will bring it to our ch
 ipping site to be Treecycled. The chips from your tree will be used as mul
 ch throughout the park. You can even take home a bag of mulch to provide w
 arm winter protection for the street tree in front of your apartment. No n
 eed to register ' just come on by!\nMore than 25\,000 trees were recycled 
 last year city-wide. Help us top this number! \n**Note: Please remember to

 ect time to roll up our sleeves and help maintain our local green spaces. 
 This event will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature\, meet n

 rty\nSunscreen\nOptional: Hat\n\nWe will provide gloves for volunteers and
  any tools/materials needed for the project. Please always keep personal i
 tems with you\, as we do not have a secure area for personal belongings. \
 nFor the safety of our staff and volunteers\, if on the day of the project
  you are sick or not feeling well\, STAY HOME! It is not worth the risk to
