 k: Stories and Songs with a Jazzy Twist won a Parents Choice Award (Silver
 ).  April was a featured teller at the 2024 Timpanogos Storytelling Festiv
 al in Utah and at the Exchange Place at the 2023 National Storytelling Fes
 tival in Jonesboro\, TN.  She has presented her one-woman show about Ameri
 cas first black female Barnstormer\, Two Wings to Heaven: The Bessie Colem
 an Story at the Kravis Center (FL)\, The Apollo Theater (NYC) and at the R
 hode Island Black Storytellers FUNDA FEST 2024.  She been a featured telle
 r at the National Association of Black Storytellers (NABS) Conference\, Th
 e National Storytelling Network Conference; Speak Story Series in WV\, The
  Grapevine\, Beaver Tales Storytelling Festival\, Connecticut Storytelling
