Dog Run 142

Dog Run 142

After years of rallying for a dog run in West Harlem, a group of dedicated local volunteers successfully accomplished their vision. Supported by the NYC Parks Department, Riverside Park Conservancy, Councilman Mark Levine’s office, several local community groups, many local businesses, and countless neighbors, the 142nd Street Dog Run finally succeeded in opening its gates in June of 2016.

The Dog Run 142 Park User Group is active in the community and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and space for everyone. They invite dog lovers from all over NYC to join in the fun!

Dog Run 142 and the Conservancy worked side by side to secure City funding to improve the temporary run, and in 2021, plans were finalized for a full renovation of the Dog Run. You can see details about the upcoming construction project here.
