Legacy Society
The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Society, established in 2019, is an honorary group of generous individuals who have included Riverside Park Conservancy in their estate plans through a bequest, retirement plan, life insurance, trust, or other legacy gift.
Eleanor Roosevelt was a native New Yorker who left a lasting legacy to our city, and was a champion of social equality. She aspired for a better world for all people, where all individuals are treated with dignity.
Careful estate planning helps you to prepare for the future by providing for your loved ones and the institutions you cherish most. Planned gifts are vital to the Conservancy’s work by helping us to respond to future challenges while enabling us to expand our important work improving and restoring Riverside Park.
Regardless of your stage of life — whether you’re starting your first job, welcoming your first child into the world, or enjoying retirement — it’s never too early or too late to create an estate plan to care for loved ones and remember organizations like Riverside Park Conservancy that mean so much to you. You may qualify for membership in the Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Society in any of the following ways:
Naming the Conservancy as a beneficiary in your will
Creating a charitable remainder or lead trust for the benefit of the Conservancy
Naming the Conservancy as the beneficiary of a retirement plan, bank or brokerage account, or life insurance policy
Riverside Park Conservancy encourages you to work with your financial professional to decide what avenue of giving works best for you and your loved ones.
If you have already named the Conservancy as a beneficiary of your estate plans, please let us know so that we may include you in the Society.
