Friday Night Jams featuring Danielle Martin

August 29 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Get out to the park and kick off the weekend with some local sounds at this monthly musical get-happy hour. Friday Night Jams takes place on the last Friday of the month from May through August.

New York based ‘Alternative Soul’ singer, songwriter, and actress DANIELLE MARTIN is no stranger to the mic. In her short career, she has developed a dedicated following as a result of her powerful, yet sultry vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics. Writing her first song at just 12 years old, she quickly gained a knack for creating melodies and imaginative storytelling. Seven years later, Danielle was introduced by a college friend, (MC Enigma of trilingual hip hop collective Negros Americanos) to DJ IRS, with whom she would later go on to collaborate. Setting up shop in IRS’s kitchen pantry, these two would end up recording early demo’s for several songs that later appeared on her debut EP.

This year alone, DANIELLE has appeared on three separate new projects, collaborating with a whole slew of new artists. The new single “Lights” by indie soul singer and guitarist Jonny Parks, “Blue Lagoon” by Brooklyn based rock band Crimshaw on their debut album “Monsters”, and lastly her first foray into house music, “Brave”, which is Danielle’s latest single in collaboration with Producer/DJ Moon Rocket and remixed by Italian Afro House DJ and producer Moblack. With her unique vocal stylings and heartfelt lyrics, DANIELLE is definitely a performer to watch.
