Goatham Farewell Ceremony 2025

After a very successful summer of eating non-native plants and poison ivy, Riverside Park Conservancy’s beloved goats are heading home for the winter. The Conservancy is celebrating the five goats – Romeo, Mallomar, Butterball, Kash, and Rufus – with a farewell ceremony on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1-2 PM at 143^rd Street and Riverside Drive, next to the goat enclosure. Enjoy goat-themed arts & crafts, pick up exclusive merch, and give our hardworking grazers a proper sendoff at this free community event. The goats will remain in Riverside Park until the morning of Wednesday, September 24.
