On Saturday, September 30th, we are hosting a volunteer project as part of the 30th annual National Public Lands Day at the W 114th Street Upper Woodland Path in Riverside Park. RSVP here.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands. The purpose is to connect people to public land in their community, inspire environmental stewardship, and encourage use of public lands for education, recreation, and general health.
What to wear/bring:
– Filled water bottle
– Sturdy, closed-toe shoes
– Long pants
– Comfortable clothing that can get dirty
– Optional: Hat
Always keep all personal items with you, as we will not have a secure area for bags. For the safety of our staff and volunteers, if on the day of the project you are not well, STAY HOME! It is not worth the risk to you or to others.
