Riverfront Ramble

Put down your phone and get outside for the inaugural Riverfront Ramble, presented by Riverside Park Conservancy, Palisades Parks Conservancy, and Fort Tryon Park Conservancy. This free cross-river walking adventure and scavenger hunt invites people of all ages to explore Fort Washington Park, Palisades Interstate Park, and Fort Tryon Park.

Become a “Riverfront Rambler” and cross the George Washington Bridge on foot in search of landmarks, scenic overlooks, and other points of interest. Leave your screen behind, follow a paper map, and discover the parks at your own pace.

Ramblers can pick up a free map at any of three staffed hubs:

• The Little Red Lighthouse in Fort Washington Park
• The N.J. entrance to the G.W.B. North Walk and the Palisades Interstate Park Long Path
• The Cottage at Fort Tryon Park

Maps and information will also be available at Break Away Cafe, 71 Cabrini Boulevard.

Start in any park and choose to explore one, two, or all three. Along the way, check off what you discover and collect a unique rubber stamp and small keepsake at each park hub to mark your journey.
