Typical Daily Schedule (Volleyball)

8:45am-9:00am
Campers arrive at 163rd Street Volleyball courts in Fort Washington Park

9:00am-9:45am
Campers break into groups by ages and go through a daily stretching, conditioning, and skill warmups

9:45am– 12:00pm
Morning drills involving all mechanics of basic skills, work skills & put them in motion in game situations, play.

12:00pm–12:30pm
Lunch

12:45pm –2:45pm
Afternoon Skills Review, introduce Team Concepts & play

2:45pm– 3:15pm
Full Camp wrap up and snack.

3:15pm – 3:30pm
Campers are dismissed 163rd Street Volleyball courts in Fort Washington Park.

Daily Breakdown of Camp:

Monday – Evaluations and Begin Training
Athletes go through a series of drills so coaches can get a sense of experience and skill sets in order to help each individual athlete. Athletes are placed into small groups according to age and skill level. Play before lunch and at the end of the day.

Tuesday – Skills Development
Athletes are divided into small groups by skill and age in order to focus on learning a skill never done before or fine tuning the skill they already know whether it is passing, setting, hitting, serving and setting. Play before lunch and at the end of the day.

Wednesday – Put Skills and Team into Motion
Athletes (All Ages and Levels) work on a progression of the different skills and begin to put it into motion in a team setting. Play before lunch and at the end of the day.

Thursday – Skills and League Development Play
Athletes (All Ages and Levels) work transitions & team concepts and put it into motion with games and friendly competition in groups of 2, 3, 4 ,5 or 6.

Friday – Intramurals Tournament & Team Play
Great warmup and review for all skills and everything learned during the week. Then Intramurals take place. Play games in the morning and afternoon where they can put all the skills and team concepts into action to show the growth and hard work that each athlete has put in this week. Athletes are awarded for their hard work at the end of the tournament. Parents are welcome to observe the games.
