Community Volunteer Day: Spring Clean-up

With Spring just around the corner – we need your help to clean up the park and get it ready for the upcoming season! We will be meeting near the base of the stairs at the entrance to Riverside Park at 151st Street – keep an eye out for our large yellow RPC tent!

Join Riverside Park Conservancy in kicking off the season by cleaning up our garden beds, weeding out invasive species and, leaf removal from high-traffic areas.

All organic matter will be added to our compost pile and turned into valuable mulch for use throughout the park.

What to wear/bring:

• Your own (filled!) water bottle

• Sturdy, closed-toe shoes

• Long pants

• Comfortable clothing that can get dirty

Keep all personal items with you at all times, as we will not have a secure area for bags.

For the safety of our staff and volunteers, if on the day of the project you are sick or not feeling well, STAY HOME! It is not worth the risk to you or to others.
