Jazz Foundation Presents: Sunset Sounds

The Jazz Foundation of America presents a spirited sunset concert featuring renowned bandleaders playing a variety of jazz and Latin styles.

September 11: Marcus Persiani & Trio Cachimbo

A modern version of the classic George Shearing piano trios, Trio Cachimbo draws from a repertoire of standards, jazz and pop tunes to seamlessly meld a beat that can move a crowd. Led by the versatile pianist Marcus Persiani, who has worked with a wide variety of major artists including Willie Colon, Mario Bauza, the Sugar Hill Quartet and George Coleman, the band also features the talented conguero Matthew Gonzalez.

Summer on the Hudson events are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, unreserved, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is heavy rain at the time of the event, the event will be canceled. For weather updates, check nyc.gov/parks/soh 2 hours before the event.
