July 5 – The Afro-Latineers
The Afro-Latineers delivers a sound that is both simple and pure– an experience that brings energy, happiness, and comfort to listeners. Paul Rivera, also known as “Sabor,” leads The Afro-Latineers, a group that fuses Latin and Jazz music, often surprising audiences with the unexpected infusion of West African rhythms.
Their music resonates with audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds. The Afro-Latineers specialize in blending genres such as salsa, Latin Jazz, American Jazz standards, and Afrobeat. Their influences include legendary artist like Cal Tjader, Mongo Santamaria, Machito & The Afr0-Cubans, Stevie Wonder, Boddy Timmons, Wes Montgomery, Fela Kuti, and other pioneers of Latin and jazz music.
Waterfront sunset concerts sponsored by the Riverside Tennis Association. The FREE concert evenings are highlighted by picnics and good company as live entertainment enthusiasts gather on the north lawn to enjoy a variety of musical acts as listed below. The Sunset Concert Series is a prime example of how the RTA aims to provide community engagement experiences for all. All shows start at 7 pm.
