Now a premier, year-round facility, the Field House includes ADA accessible bathrooms, a 1,600 square foot, all-season indoor activity space, and a program office.
*Please note: the Field House is currently not available for rental.
The 102nd Street Field House was constructed in 1937, renovated in 1964, and gutted by fire in the 1970s, after which it sat empty for more than forty years. In 2020, thanks to a joint effort between Riverside Park Conservancy and NYC Parks, the building was fully renovated and reopened for public use. Now a premier, year-round facility, the new Field House includes ADA accessible bathrooms, a 1,600-square foot indoor activity space with kitchenette and audio-visual technology, equipment storage, and a program office. The restored Field House has significantly expanded the Conservancy’s active recreation, programming, and community development capacity. We offer a variety of free cultural, educational, and fitness programs for the community in this space.
