Introducing The Great Goat Graze-Off

Riverside Park’s goats will be baaaaaaaack for Goatham 2025, and they are hungrier than ever! This summer, we are excited to welcome five tenacious, invasive plant-eating goats to face off in New York City’s most anticipated *NEW* competitive eating event, “The Great Goat Graze-Off,” to be held on Saturday, July 12 (rain date July 19), from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM, in West Harlem on the lawn north of Ten Mile Playground, at West 151st Street and the West Side Highway.
The festivities will be overseen by George Shea of Major League Eating, best known for hosting Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. A historic milestone, “The Great Goat Graze-Off” is the first-ever professional eating competition between goats. Learn more about this year’s herd — Kash, Rufus, Mallomar, Romeo, and Butterball — and RSVP for this free event!
Hudson Beach Party Returns This July

More Trees. Less Trash. New Updates!

We’re thrilled to announce that our More Trees. Less Trash. initiative has entered its second phase in Riverside Park! In this phase, 25 new street trees have been planted and several old stumps removed, bringing new life to our streetscape. Park beautification continues with 25 new trash receptacles coming to the Park between 96th and 120th Streets, plus fresh exteriors to update our existing receptacles. Thank you to all our supporters for helping us grow a cleaner, greener Riverside!
